Looking for Love Lights from my new "Cushy" Home PDF Print E-mail

December 2011

It is that time of year again when we eat good food and celebrate good times with good friends.  As we look ahead to 2012, Please remember, every February 14th, Valentines Day, the Friends of McMichael Park light a tree in the Park to celebrate the many loves and special friends in our lives.
All acknowledgments if received by January 15th will appear in the February issue of The Fallser.   Please make your checks payable to "Friends of McMichael Park" and mail to 3904 Henry Avenue, Phila. Pa.  19129.

Thanks to all who have participated in the past and to The Fallser for its annual support.

McMichael Park has gotten a little greener with the addition of a "green" safety surface, pictured, which was installed in early November. The rubberized cushion was funded by grants from City Councilman Curtis Jones Jr. and Mark Focht, the First Deputy Commissioner of the Department of Parks and Recreation.  Many thanks to both of them for their generous support of McMichael Park.  Thanks also to the East Falls Community Council for its coordinated efforts between the Friends of McMichael Park and the Councilman.

As soon as the caution tape was removed from around the Turtle, a little girl and her dad came over to take a few jumps. The Turtle invites everyone to come over to take a jump on this new "cushy" surface.  It is very uplifting creating instant gratification.  Thanks to all for making this happen.

With Love for Happy Holidays from the Turtle!
